We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs. Adelaide- Port Augusta- Coober Pedy- Alice Springs. Over 1500 km. It took us about two days.

+1st day (about 3 hrs driving)- Adelaide- Port Augusta
We bought some food and water (It's very important!) in Adelaide and then drove to Port Augusta where there was an information centre about “Outback”.
+2nd day (about 5 hrs driving)- Port Augusta- Coober Pedy
We went to the information centre first. Before the long trip, the most important of all was “Go to petrol station!”. Today we stayed in Coober Pedy. Many places are underground. For example, our backpacker and many churches, a bookstore...etc. Opal is a famous product around here. People said it rained less in Coober Pedy, about 1-2 times a year. Unexpectedly, we met it in the morning we waked up.
+3rd day (about 6 hrs driving)- Coober Pedy- Alice Springs
Don't forget to go to petrol station. All you have to do is stepping on the gas. Everyone will drive across the border between South Australia and Northern Territory. After about 6 hrs driving (in NT, the limited speed is 130km/hr), you will finally arrive Alice Springs where is full of aboriginal and very hot!

Now I have stayed in Alice Springs for more than 10 days. I want to find a job here because it's almost the season with tourists. Bless me! :)

I have to recommend Kangaroo Island as the great place everyone must go. It's in South Australia, Australia.
You need to drive one and half hours (or more) from Adelaide to the ferry which you can go to the island by ship. The most important of all, there was no public transportation on the island. It means you have to hire a car on mainland (or on Kangaroo Island). The tickets cost us AUD 213 (3 people and one car) for one turn. When we returned, we booked the tickets on line. There were some discount (3 people and one car, AUD 203) with tickets.
===Where you MUST go? I suggest some places.
+Emu Bay
You can see many pelicans. We met a woman here and she led us feed the pelicans fishes.
+Seal Bay
AUD 10 (Boardwalk without beach) or AUD 14 (Beach walk, close to seals). If you want to get close to seals, you can buy the expensive one. I suggest you to go to “Admirals Arch” where you can see more seals.
+Vivonne Bay
People say, “Vivonne Bay is the best beach in Australia.” I totally agree. It's clean and quiet. Actually, I'm not the person who likes beaches. Before this beach, I always only took photos, without touching the sea or just for a while. When I got here, I was crazy to make myself stay in the seawater for a long time. Everyone should come here!
+Flinders Chase National Park

Today was not only my birthday, but also Mardi Gras, which was the biggest festival for gay and lesbian in Sydney, Australia.
I don't want to talk about my birthday. It was horrible this year without birthday song and cakes but I still had to thanks for friends who sent me messages.
Mardi Gras held at 07: 30 PM. People were assembled near Hyde Park and on Oxford Street. The street is full of gay and lesbian all the time, not only on the big day. I went there with friends earlier, about three to four o'clock but we couldn't reach the first line. We saw rainbow flags and pink Australia national flags everywhere. People were dressed-up. You can take photos with anyone if you ask for them friendly. The boys were cute and the girls looked handsome. I was very impressed by a lady who raised a sign saying “I love my gay son”. After Mardi Gras, we walked on the streets and people said “Happy Mardi Gras!” to each other.
It's was an amazing day. Come and enjoy it!
