I have to recommend Kangaroo Island as the great place everyone must go. It's in South Australia, Australia.
You need to drive one and half hours (or more) from Adelaide to the ferry which you can go to the island by ship. The most important of all, there was no public transportation on the island. It means you have to hire a car on mainland (or on Kangaroo Island). The tickets cost us AUD 213 (3 people and one car) for one turn. When we returned, we booked the tickets on line. There were some discount (3 people and one car, AUD 203) with tickets.
===Where you MUST go? I suggest some places.
+Emu Bay
You can see many pelicans. We met a woman here and she led us feed the pelicans fishes.
+Seal Bay
AUD 10 (Boardwalk without beach) or AUD 14 (Beach walk, close to seals). If you want to get close to seals, you can buy the expensive one. I suggest you to go to “Admirals Arch” where you can see more seals.
+Vivonne Bay
People say, “Vivonne Bay is the best beach in Australia.” I totally agree. It's clean and quiet. Actually, I'm not the person who likes beaches. Before this beach, I always only took photos, without touching the sea or just for a while. When I got here, I was crazy to make myself stay in the seawater for a long time. Everyone should come here!
+Flinders Chase National Park
AUD 8/per person. You can see lots of rocks. (The Australian like rocks. :P) “Remarkable Rocks” is the most important landscape on Kangaroo Island. “Admirals Arch” is also an awesome place but it smelled maybe it's because of lots seals. You still can go to the lighthouse in the national park.
+Stoke Bay
When you got here, you may say, “No way! It's even not a beach.” If you leave now, you make a mistake. Please follow the sign “to beach” and walk across many big rocks. After few minutes, you can see the brilliant beach, a place for taking refuge. We forgot to bring our swimming suit on that day but we took off our pants immediately to walk into water. :)
+Paul's Place Wildlife Sancturary
AUD 13/per person. Only opened on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. It's a great place where you can see many kinds of animals. You can take photos with holding the koala in your arm, hold up the kangaroo to feed it some milk, let a cockatoo stand on your shoulder and maybe you can try the stylish scarf- a big alive snake creeping along your neck. If you are lucky, the owner of the farm may ask you to stand before the wall where emu stand behind. After he puts some grains on your head, the emu will peck them up on your head. You also can see the show with shearing a sheep. Is it cool?
+Pennington Bay
Yes! Beach again. There are fine sand here. Also clean and quiet.
+Hog Bay
The last beach which is also great in Kangaroo Island I suggest. It's near the ferry on the island. With white sand and clean seawater.
===Just common place!
+Honey Farm
It's a common place that you can try their honey. Friends of mine thought honey in Taiwan is much better than here. Try their honey ice-cream (AUD 2.8). (I love the honey ice-cream in “Lavender Berry Farm”, Pemberton, WA more.)
+Kingscote
Maybe it's the most populous place in this island. You can buy some souvenirs in the stores and eat seafood in the restaurant. (The Australian only fry food with cooking. I miss the seafood in Taiwan.)
+Island Beach
I saw a postcard which was taken at the beach. It was my favorite postcard I bought before going to the beach. When I got to the beach, it made me disappointed. The seawater was not clean enough and the sand wasn't, either.
===I didn't go but maybe you can go there!
+Penguin tours
On the island there are two tours about penguin. One is at Kinscote and the other is at Penneshaw. It's cheaper than going to Phillip Island, VIC. (I have been to Phillip Island. From Melbourne to there cost us about two hours for driving. If you want to see Little Penguins, you need to buy tickets. The cheapest one is AUD 20.)
+Bales Beach
You don't have to pay for money. It's just near Seal Bay. I bought a postcard which was taken at the beach. It looks like a good place to go.

P.S. Sorry I can't update photos now because I use the wireless of McDonald's now. Besides, Alice Springs is a place where wireless is not popular. I miss you all! xx
